About
Our School
Duneside High School caters for the Walvis Bay community. It offers tuition through the medium of English to learners in Grade 1—12. In order to benefit optimally from lessons, learners should be at ease with the English language.

There is only one class group for each grade. Thus, only a limited number of students can be accommodated per class, which ensures frequent and direct contact between teachers and learners. This fosters individual and personal growth of learners.
Duneside is a two language school (English First Language, Afrikaans Second Language) that offers the following subjects: Mathematics, Biology, Physical Science, Accounting, Business Studies and Geography from Grade 9 to Grade 12. All learners excel in the sports codes they elect to pursue, be it at school itself or elsewhere in town.
The staff is well-qualified and experienced. They execute their professional duties diligently and efficiently. Communication with parents is deemed a vital component in the successful educational partnerships compromising learners, parents and teachers.
A democratically elected Governing Body from the parent group guides school affairs at a strategic level and also exercises control over financial matters.
In order to meet the financial demands made of a private school, parents are obligated to make a monthly contribution.
